Why I Created TAPIn

TAPIn wasn’t born in a boardroom.

It started with a feeling I know millions of people experience every day: worry.

Like many people, I’ve had nights out where a friend disappeared from the group, stopped answering messages, or simply forgot to check in. I’ve been on trips where someone took a different route home. I’ve sat awake wondering if a loved one made it back safely. And I’ve been the person receiving the text:

“Can you let me know when you get home?”

We say those words because we care.

But despite living in a world where we’re more connected than ever, there wasn’t a simple, modern way to stay connected without feeling like you were being tracked or watched.j

Most safety apps felt clinical.
Most location-sharing apps felt invasive.
And none of them felt built for the way young people, friends, families, and travelers actually live.

I wanted something different.

I wanted an app that could help people feel safe without taking away their freedom.

Something that let friends look out for each other on nights out.

Something parents could trust without constantly checking in.

Something travelers could use when exploring new places.

Something that turned a simple check-in into peace of mind.

That’s why I created TAPIn.

At its heart, TAPIn isn’t about tracking people.

It’s about caring for people.

It’s about that moment when everyone gets home safely.

It’s about knowing someone is looking out for you.

And it’s about helping people enjoy life’s adventures with a little more confidence and a lot less worry.

Because every text that says,

“I’m home safe.”

deserves to be effortless.
